Beginner to Advanced

Our understanding is that the needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. Everyone should be able to move through their daily routine and recreational activities without pain, and feel confident in how their body looks, feels, and functions. Our programming sets the foundation for an active lifestyle.

CrossFit is a lifestyle characterized by regular, safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone — from people who are just starting out to people who have trained for years. CrossFit can be best summarized in the following:

“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, Clean and Jerk, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc., hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.”
